I ordered this hanger online to use headphones instead of speakers through my audio interface, to keep things quiet in the evenings. The first thing I noticed right out of the clamshell packing is this is all plastic. No rubberized pad on the clamping screw only on the top frame arm. While tightening the clamp the frames starts flexing the small plastic screw arm and screw. This design cannot fully secure itself like a metal clamp, and can still be slid right off the shelf or desk you attach it to with not too much effort. I like that the headset arm is padded and swivels; however, the swivel joint feels week and could snap under a fair amount of weight. It is hooked so headphones will not slide off, but grabbing your phones quickly may pull on the hook. A quick tug will likely snap the plastic swivel. This does not inspire any confidence in its build quality. For its price and what it does I am slightly content. I idea is great, but If this could be redesigned in metal giving a more rugged confidence for daily use then I would be more ecstatic.
