Interactive Music Creation

The KeyStep 37 includes unique chord and scale functions for intuitive music making. Its enhanced Chord Mode lets you choose from 12 chord types and array of strum effects to create complex, multi-voice parts. Map the three-octave keyboard to any scale, and the KeyStep 37 will automatically quantize your playing to the correct notes. With 16 assignable MIDI control changes across four banks, you can tweak software instruments and hardware synths in real time for dynamic performances.

    This little controller lets even my very limited keyboard skills easily create complex chord progressions using the built in chord mode. The built in sequencer is very intuitive and straight forward to use. I really like the touch strips for both pitch control and modulation control. I've never been very good with the wheel on most controllers so these are great for me. Lastly, I love how easy it is to switch the MIDI channel it sends.

    i bought this for its form factor, which is compact but with lots of features (37 keys, four CV knobs, pitch bend, and mod control), and didn't care about the sequencing capability. however the scale, chord, strum, and arp controls are extremely useful for in-the-box producers too

    So much this little device can do! Worth more than the price! Solid build, nice keybed for its category and size, sleek look, a gift that keeps on giving.. possibilities are endless. Not a performance keyboard, but performing is very manageable. Best used as a creative production device and travel size midi controller. Portability is superb! Highly recommend!

    My 3rd Arturia mini keyboard and they are solid. The 4 knobs feel great and can control my synths. Lots of options on the back panel. the built in arp and seq are very powerful.

    Can this operate without AC connection? I would like to run via a connection to an iPhone or iPad. I know the iRig Keys 2 Pro has that feature.
