Applause AE128 Super Shallow Acoustic-Electric Guitar Black

When we first received the AE128 in Red Figured Mahogany, there were surface scratches and a separated bridge line spreading the A string from the D string much wider than rest. The guitar was a gift for my wife and she fell in love with it's tone and feel, which, I admit, is absolutely brilliant for the money, yet I brought it back to the Danbury, CT store with full intent of returning it for a different guitar or credit. The Mgr Tommy D, was more than willing to resolve the problem. As I was perusing their stock, I notice another Applause model with the same deviation in the strings and surface scratches. Tommy then had the guitar tech Zach K take a look at my guitar. Zach saw that the bridge line was indeed off and made the proper adjustment. He also buffed out the surface scratches to near perfection. When I returned home with the same guitar, my wife was ecstatic. If it had not been for the concern and efforts of my Guitar Center's staff, the guitar would have been history. Thanks guys!

this guitar is pretty good. it has the necessary qualifications i think any acoustic electric guitar needs. its light, has good sound either plugged in or classical style, and looks great! its a little slippery when playing it on your lap, but with a guitar strap, you're set to play it.

Well, I ordered this guitar for my birthday and when I finally recieved it, it was in bad shape. The bottom was openning and it was just a scary thing to see. I had to wait 2 weeks for it to come and another two weeks to ship back for a replacement. I will say though, the customer service is legit because they did not hesitate on shipping me a new one :D. It took another two weeks to get the replacement to my house though -_-. Total: 6 weeks. Although it took so long to obtain, it is very good quality and the sound is just warm and sweet. Pretty awesome guitar for intermediate players and such.

I couldn't have been more happy with my purchase from guitar center. The guitar came without a flaw. Sounds great!! Looks great!!! Plays great !!!!. Low string action, stays in tune and no string buzz. I have played this guitar with cd's of songs with expensive guitars and this one sounds really good compared with others. I am very happy with this purchase. Great job Guitar Center.com. What more can I say.

During my first lesson, my guitar teacher allowed me to practice with his Ovation Applause. I loved the sound and how it snugly fit in my lap. I purchased this model after my first lesson and have never been disappointed. The sound quality is smooth and even. The look and feel is not cheap, but sturdy and attractive. If you're starting out, spend a few extra dollars and purchase this one. You won't regret it.
