Top-Rated
Ampeg SVT Bass Amp Half Stack

Description
The tube preamp section of the Ampeg SVT-3PRO Series Head re-creates the great bass tone that made the original SVT the most respected bass amp of all time. The power section is tube-driven solid state with a toroidal transformer that generates less noise and magnetic interference. Delivers 450W @ 4 ohms and has an arsenal of tone-shaping tools: 3 bands of tone, a 5-position mid selector, 9-band graphic EQ, plus low and high boosts. Other pro features include input peak LED, input pad and bright switch, mute function, tuner out, variable line-out level, time-delayed turn on, DC-supplied filaments, and variable fan speed. 2U rackmount.
The Ampeg SVT-410HLF Enclosure gives you plenty of volume and clean low end. This 4x10" cabinet has the same speakers and 1" horn as the SVT-410HE with 2" coils and 30 oz. magnets, but the cabinet itself is tuned differently. It's deeper and has a bottom port that results in better low-end response, down to 28Hz!

I Have Finally Found My Last Bass Rig!!!

I recently purchased the Ampeg SVT-3 Pro Head with the matching SVT-410HLF cabinet. I have used it for a few rehearsals & gigs thus far. All I can say is this set up is absolutely amazing. It has all the power (450 watts @ 4 ohms) you will ever need and the tone is incredible. On our last gig at a club, for the first time ever, I needed to back down a bit because of the massive power! Your tone options are almost endless with the 3 bands of tone, 5 position mid selector, and 9 band graphic EQ. And this doesn't even include the bright, ultra High & ultra Low buttons. I have been playing for (37) years now and currently play in a Classic Rock Cover Band. My two guitar players use a Marshall & Mesa Boogie amps. They too are amazed at the deep bottom end as well as the clarity of the highs. The cabinet design seems to be flawless. The 4x10's combined with the adjustable high frequency horn is perfect. Then when you add the three ported feature at the bottom of the cabinet.....well it just makes all the difference in the world. I am here to tell you that YOU DO get some serious Low's & High's out of this set up. I am also here to tell you that "I" have finally found my last bass amp & cabinet!!! A Total Powerful Tone Machine!!! Thank you Ampeg & Guitar Center!!!

My Dream Rig has been fulfilled! The Sonic Quality of this Bass Rig is by all means Outstanding!! My bandmates at first were very skeptical because of the size (my previous rig was a 2-cab set-up w/rack).After rolling thru the first song at rehearsal, they were floored by the huge sound coming through and the undeniable Growl that is True Ampeg! Playing a variety of Basses:Schecter Deluxe 4,ESP LTD 4,Epi-Nikki Sixx Thunderbird,Traben 5-string and Carvin LB4. This Bass Rig delivers the Goods at every level. You will not be dissappointed - Enjoy....

Is the only way to describe the performance of this rig. This set up is balanced and true. I use a American Standard Fender P with this set up and I am in awe. From this day forward no Marshall Stack will drown me out EVER. Brian Alcock

I just got this set up last week. I had the pleasure of breaking it in at a show. Not only did I notice a huge change in tonal glory, but my band mates were blown away. If that doesn't convince, our fans who had no idea I had a new rig, could tell the difference in my sound. This this will give you the punch you are looking for. The low end makes your skin tingle! Crisp and clear like only an Ampeg can do. I play with a Ibanez BTB 5, but when I plugged my Stingray into that thing...my ears just melted. If you have the money to put into one of these...please do. It is worth every penny!
