Great Little Ampeg
Running my Hofner into this and the lows from the hollow body sound and feel great. The 40 watts and the Scrambler give this amp a great sound. Well worth the price for a small portable combo amp. Easy to move around for smaller gigs. Since it is not square it can be placed on its side to redirect to sound and it also fits well into a corner.

I would not buy this Ampeg BA110v2 bass amp again
Loose annoyingly fuzzy sounding, even with scrambler off like it bleeds into the normal channel. Usaless for practice. Volume pot scratchy.

Great little amp. Seems like a solid modern transistor amp. I normally play guitar and use tube amps but this thing still sounds great to me. You can't go wrong, especially for the price.

The first one I received was DOA. Sent it back. The second one I received was not a BA110V2, it was totally not a bass amp. The third one I received was just what I ordered. This is definitely a practice amp. I would not even think about trying to use it with other instruments. I can turn it all the up and my wife does not complain about the volume, not so with my small orange amp or my Fender Champion 40 with guitars. The sound is good but I am not enamored with the fuzzy tone. I played bass in a band 50 years ago and guess I never wanted the distorted bass sound even though I used a Fuzz Face on occasion. While I am happy with the sound out of this amp, I would not buy it again because it has no power and is limited to being a practice amp. Turned all the way up you could have a normal conversation over the sound coming out of the amp. If I lived in an apartment, this would be the perfect practice amp.

I bought the BA110v2 for my downstairs office. I have a Fender Rumble 40 upstairs in the music room. I'm too lazy to lug one up and down the stairs. Sound is on-par to the Rumble 40, good deep lows. Both amps are great for home use, and perhaps a backyard party or cafe gig. The Scrambler circuit on the BA110v2 is pretty good. Truth be told, I like the Rumble 40's Overdrive better (it's more vintage/throaty). Last, the BA110v2 is very sensitive to my cables. Only the best quality cable I have does not buzz the strings. The Rumble 40 has no buzzing with any of the cheapo cables I have lying around.
i would buy it again
