My only complaint is not with the guitar. In the description that it comes with a PC-1 Deluxe Hardshell case. However, Guitar Center shipped mine with a gig-bag. $100 difference.

As someone in the early learning stages of guitar, I love this one. Its very easy to play, looks great and stays in tune.

  • Great tone and playability. Might need to replace the tuners

I've had this guitar for about a week, and I've spent several hours getting acquainted. It has a punchy, crisp tone that I expect will improve as it ages. The mahogany top is a first for me, and seems to be a little brighter than another guitar I have with a cedar top. The guitar is comfortable to hold and to play thanks to the small body and shorter neck. As another reviewer may have said, the tuners seem to slip out of tune pretty easily, so I may end up upgrading them. Overall, I think this guitar is a great value for the money.

  • Nice parlor

Good looking little guitar, very comfortable to play. Minor set-up problems that can easily be fixed. It requires a light tough, but sounds very sweet. Good fingerstyle instrument. I'm really enjoying it so far!

  • Solid instrument but can benefit from some upgrades!

Build quality fit, finish are excellent! The koa / abalone binding add to the natural beauty of the mahogany back/sides and the shadowburst top. Reference to tuning challenges are due to inferior tuners. I ordered and replaced them w/a set of Waverly Gold, ebony button tuners which fixed the tuning issue but gave the instrument the quality of tuners that the design, finish and vintage aura it deserved! Also replaced the gold strap buttons with ebony which completes the vintage vibe. Should have ordered the matching ebony bridge pin set w/abalone as the low e pin was found broken when I removed the strings for the tuner replacement! Overall, I am very pleased with the performance, playability and beauty of the guitar! I purchased this for a travel companion but find myself picking it up daily because it is so fun to play. I 2ould also state that is a better fingerpicking instrument or one that responds to a lighter touch with a pick!

what is the fretboard radius on this model? why are there several complaints about inferior tuners and the need to retune frequently?

    Open Reply -
This could be upgraded to locking tuners to prevent that issue. Fretboard radius is 1.5mm
