Description
Alvarez Masterworks Elite guitars are made from premium, hand-selected all-solid woods to create a sonically articulate series with a stunning visual impact.
The MFA70WCEARSHB is an articulate OM with powerful and clear bass notes and shimmering trebles. It offers great volume balance across all six strings and instant response, perfect for fingerstyle or strumming. It's beautifully presented with a slim bevel ebony armrest with genuine paua abalone purfling, and amplified via an L.R. Baggs VTC Element pickup system and soundhole console.
After 55 years of making guitars, continual improvement through the use of emerging technologies, processes, and materials is still at the heart of Alvarez's culture. Alvarez guitars are constructed correctly in every sense, from raw material preparation to construction and manufacturing processes. Their tonewoods are carefully cured; their components such as neck blocks and wood joints are carefully designed. The painting, sanding and polishing techniques Alvarez uses are continually researched and developed, and their tone is impeccably crafted and married to a stable, consistent and lively soundbox.
Each guitar is designed to get the best out if its components, and for them to work together. These components include Alvarez's MST1 bracing system, bi-level rosewood bridge, real bone nut and saddle, carefully seasoned tonewood and a thin finish.

This is an amazing playing and sounding guitar. I was blown away by the tone. Of the four higher end acoustic guitars I own I could see this one becoming my favorite go to.
