Description
The Alvarez MF60OM Masterworks Series folk acoustic guitar offers a high-quality solid folk/-OM guitar with exceptional tone and value. The Alvarez MF60OM is perfect for any player looking for an outstanding instrument that is well-balanced and reliable. Players of all styles and musical tastes in need of a great-sounding and playable guitar should look no further. The sound is clear and balanced, with an articulate voicing and a very musical tone. Nothing can really match a guitar made from all-solid wood. The deflection of the notes is quicker, the quality of the sound is better, and you can obtain optimal response and the sound of your guitar will improve with age.
After 50 years of making guitars, continual improvement through the use of emerging technologies, processes, and materials is still at the heart of Alvarez's culture. Alvarez guitars are constructed correctly in every sense, from raw material preparation to construction and manufacturing processes. Their tonewoods are carefully cured; their components such as neck blocks and wood joints are carefully designed. The painting, sanding and polishing techniques used are continually researched and developed, and their tone is impeccably crafted and married to a stable, consistent and lively soundbox. This caring approach to development comes from Alvarez's one simple goal: To deliver the best guitars in the market at every price point, instruments that are truly amazing value and offer a fantastic player experience.
Each guitar is designed to get the best out if its components, and for them to work together. These components include Alvarez's FST2 bracing system, bi-level rosewood/pau ferro extended bridge, real bone nut and saddle, carefully seasoned tonewood and a thin finish. The Masterworks personality is open and powerful. All of their tops are selected by Alvarez's team and graded independently of their suppliers. If it isn’t worthy, they won’t use it.
The Alvarez Masterworks Series also demonstrates the guitar maker's great finishing capabilities. The gloss models have a clear deep shine from a finish that is applied as thinly as possible, again to help optimize tone.

This is one awesome guitar and it checks all my boxes: comes with a hard case, OM style body, no electronics, shorter scale, all wood construction, real bone nut and saddle, good looking, good price. This is not a beginners guitar (built more for experts). This guitar looks so awesome sitting in its open case. The Alvarez case that comes with it is wood covered with fabric. IT is very nice looking. I got this guitar brand new for five hundred dollars on sale.
