Alvarez MF60 Herringbone Folk-OM Acoustic Guitar Natural

Solid Spruce Top and Mahogany Back Produce Rich, Nuanced Tone
The MF60 Herringbone’s solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides produce a tone that’s both rich and nuanced. The spruce top provides clarity and articulation, while the mahogany adds warmth and depth. Together they create an evenly balanced tone that works for any musical style, from delicate fingerpicking to aggressive strumming.
Slim Neck and Low Action For Easy Playing
Whether you have small hands or simply prefer an effortless playing experience, the MF60 Herringbone’s slim neck and low action are designed with comfort and playability in mind. The slim neck allows you to easily form chords and navigate single notes, while the low action produces a light, responsive feel beneath your fingers.
Premium Appointments For Timeless Style
While the MF60 Herringbone’s tone and playability are paramount, its premium appointments provide vintage-inspired style. Distinctive touches include the rosewood bridge, fretboard and bone nut and saddle. Together these premium components give the MF60 Herringbone a timeless appearance to match its sonic qualities.
Smaller Body Slize and Lightweight X-Brace Design
Tonally, Alvarez has balanced the compression available from the smaller body size with a lighter weight X-brace design. This gives the OM round notes and super-fast response but balances those features with a more open projection. No matter what music or playing style you gravitate toward, this all-solid, finely dressed guitar is a true all-rounder with an impressive, eloquent voicing.

Incredible value, a joy to play

No other guitar comes close to this one under $1000. I demo'd Martins, Yamahas, Gibsons. This one sounds the best and plays the best for me. the only flaw is that it seems like their factory is unaware that frets should be polished. They are very, very rough. Easy fix though.
