Yairi
The wonderful thing about making acoustic guitars is that they are incredibly sensitive and complex instruments. Decades, careers, lifetimes have been spent trying to perfect or find the sound in the luthier's head, but often it eludes us. Only time, experimentation and experience can help guitar companies get the results guitarists are after.

Alvarez-Yairi guitars have held a special place in players' hearts for nearly fifty years. Some of the greatest songwriters and guitarists ever to grace the planet have played them. So when it comes to updating the Alvarez-Yairi Series, Alvarez did it with great care and the reverence it deserves.

Two years of development have resulted in producing the finest guitars Alvarez have ever made. Eloquently voiced instruments, beautifully balanced with a charisma and tonal personality you will fall in love with.

The all-new Alvarez-Yairi Series is simply superb.

I love this guitar. This model has a thin finish and it looks like no pore filler was used in the wood. This really allows the guitar to vibrate. The guitar is also assembled with hide glue which also helps transfer vibrations. It has a Spanish heel joint. The fit and finish of this guitar is top notch. The signature on the label is printed but the neck block is hand signed by the current Mr. Yairi. This guitar is made in Japan. I doubt that I will ever part with this fine instrument.

This is a brilliant instrument! It is of very high quality and sounds and plays great. All solid quality woods and a thin finish make this guitar feel alive. I never thought that I would own any guitars that were not US made. but my mind has been changed. These Japanese luthiers really know how to make a beautiful guitar. Highly recommended. Comes with a nice case as well.
