Description

The Alvarez AMP610E2 Parlor acoustic-electric guitar brings vintage appeal and balanced acoustic tone to live performances and studio sessions. Its solid Sitka spruce top and all-mahogany back and sides produce a focused midrange with clear, articulate trebles and tight low end, while the slim parlor body offers comfort and accessibility for players of all levels. The built-in SYS100 pickup system lets you plug straight into an amp or PA system, with discreet soundhole-mounted controls keeping your tone dialed in. Whether you're a fingerstylist seeking a compact companion or a singer-songwriter in need of a stage-ready acoustic, the Alvarez AMP610E2 is an ideal choice.

Responsive Solid Spruce Top and Mahogany Back and Sides for Balanced Tone

The AMP610E2's solid Sitka spruce top produces excellent clarity and responsiveness in the mid and treble ranges, while its mahogany back and sides provide a focused low end and rich sustain. Together, they create a balanced tone profile ideal for both accompaniment and soloing. The slim parlor body further accentuates the openness of the spruce top, making each note ring out with articulation and nuance. Whether gently strumming chords or picking out melodic lines, you'll appreciate the AMP610E2's acoustic voice.

Slim Parlor Body with Cutaway for Comfort and Upper Fret Access

Measuring just 23" across, the AMP610E2's parlor body is comfortable to hold and easy to play, even for smaller-handed musicians. The cutaway grants comfortable access to the upper frets for soloing, while the compact size makes the AMP610E2 a great choice for travel or practice. Despite its diminutive proportions, the parlor body produces impressive volume and projection thanks to its solid spruce top.

Onboard SYS100 Pickup System with Soundhole-Mounted Controls

The built-in SYS100 pickup system lets you plug the AMP610E2 straight into an amplifier or PA system for amplified performances. Its soundhole-mounted controls allow quick tone shaping without having to stop and adjust outboard gear. Simply dial in the perfect blend of microphone and pickup signal right from the guitar. The easy-access controls are discreetly mounted inside the soundhole, maintaining the AMP610E2's sleek aesthetics.

I am new to the guitar world and I realize instruments are not cheap but I would like to see certificates of setup to give confidence to the new owner it is ready to play. I know Orangewood provides this service at no additional charge. Overall, I am very satisfied.

  • Great value!

This was probably a discontinued model, hence the discounted price. I own an older Alvarez Yairi dreadnought, a newer Alvarez grand auditorium and now this parlor. The guitar (after a minor truss rod adjustment) needs no setup. It plays great and has a surprisingly warm sound. Would be a 5 star rating, except for the packaging.

Plays easy due to 24 in scale. Acoustically sounds great. High Action design though. SYS100 Soundhole console system fell off. Factory installed with cheap 3M adhesive sticker. Pick-up sounds horrible. I own the Alverez Delta 00E & that one is great soundhole pick-up for comparison.

Can I get this left handed? Thank you!

Unfortunately, no. The Recording King Dirty 30s Series 7 Single-0 Left-Handed Spruce-Whitewood Acoustic Guitar is a good option.
