Alvarez

Description

The AG60-8CESHB Artist Grand Auditorium from Alvarez is an 8-string acoustic with a 12-string acoustic sound without the challenges of playing a 12-string. The AG60-8CESHB has less string tension and a standard width neck and nut as opposed to the wider neck found on 12-string guitars, making it easier to play for newer guitarists. A beautiful looking guitar with a flawless deep shine, the AG 8-string has superbly open, resonant voicing and features a North American Sitka spruce top and fitted with the fantastic L.R. Baggs StagePro EQ and Element pickup.

  • Impressive 12-String Sound - Plays Like 6 String

This Alvarez is a dream to play. If you didn't know better you would 🤔 you were playing a 6-string, but getting some of that dreamy, chorus sound from a 12-string. It just works. The L.R. Baggs preamp sounds amazing. I now see what people are talking about. Overall, a superb guitar for the price.

Beautiful tone. Well made with quality components, but heavy. Narrow neck nut width and string spacing is a problem for fingerpicking; though would be an advantage for someone used to electric guitar or who mostly strums. I find the modestly thick neck depth very comfortable; someone who plays mostly electric guitar might not. I do prefer the nut width and string spacing of my 40+ year old Alvarez-Yairi DY58.

Interesting guitar. In the description it reads: Country of origin is United States. Is that a misprint? Thanks AC

Yes it is. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team.
