Question about the speaker volume. Alto TS12S rated at 2500 watts peak, previous questions answer said 875 watts rms. Harbinger VS12, 1000 watts peak, 400 watts rms. Both speakers claim 130db spl. Does this mean loudest volume on speakers is equal? Shouldn't the ts12s be louder with over twice rms wattage?
1) It's close. 2) No. Max SPL is no way to determine a speaker's volume as it doesn't run consistently at that level. That requires an EIA Sensitivity rating - 1 watt measured at 1 meter,, which is not provided.submitteda year ago
