Description
Allen & Heath's QU-16 Chrome Edition mixer gives musicians and engineers a portable yet powerful mixing solution. With 16 high-performance mic preamps, total recall and onboard DSP, the QU-16 delivers studio-quality results for live shows, recordings, conferences and more.
16 High-Performance Mic Preamps With Total Recall
The QU-16 provides 16 studio-grade mic preamps to capture pristine recordings and polished live mixes. Total recall allows you to save and recall all mixer settings so you can easily switch between setups on the fly or return to a saved state. The QU-16's preamps provide a clean gain range and wide dynamic range to capture the nuances of any performance.
Intuitive Interface With Customizable Controls
Despite its advanced capabilities, the QU-16 features an intuitive interface with familiar rotary encoders and faders, making it easy to dial in the perfect mix. The innovative Qu-Control app allows you to customize fader layouts, channel names and more for an optimized workflow. Save your custom layouts and recall them instantly for faster setup.
Built-In DSP Provides High-Quality Effects and Processing
The QU-16 includes built-in DSP to provide studio-quality effects and audio processing. Choose from reverbs, delays, compressors, gates and more to polish your mix. The QU-16's processing allows you to achieve professional results without requiring expensive outboard gear. Tweak parameters on the mixer itself or with the Qu-Pad app for full control of your sound.
Wireless Control and Automatic Mic Mixing
The free Qu-Pad app provides wireless control of the QU-16 from anywhere in the venue. Adjust monitor mixes, tweak the house sound and even mix the show from the audience. The QU-16 also includes Automatic Mic Mixing which helps prevent feedback and minimizes background noise when multiple mics are open. Set priority levels to ensure the most important speakers are always heard clearly.

Good replacement/upgrade from an ancient analog mixer. I plan to record as well as currently using it for live performances!
Amazing mic pre's

We are using this for our local church. The mic pre's are so good that you could tell the difference on Sunday. We have 100 person church and multiple people the first day we used the mixer said it was more clear than the before. Way less noise. In a recording setting you can tell if a mixer sounds better. I would have assumed with the ceiling, chairs, people and carpet you may not be able to tell a huge difference, but you really could!
Heads up- QU16 only has 2 FX engines, NOT 4 !

Guitar Center Specs say it has 4 FX engines. It has 2. Only the QU24 and 32 have 4. Just got it, so I'm still finding my way around. Quite versatile. Be aware that QU Drive won't recognize a lot of Flash and Hard Drives if they are not capable of very high transfer speeds. (Even if you just want to update the firmware). So Check the user groups online. I think I will like this unit if it proves to be reliable for mixing/ recording my 4 and 5pc. bands
