Alfred The Rimrocks Intermediate

Part of Alfred's Recital Suite series, The Rimrocks are sandstone formations that border the northern and eastern sections of Billings, Montana. Each of the three movements pays tribute to these scenic cliffs. In "The Rimrocks Rhapsody," a flowing melody follows a majestic introduction to depict the grandeur of the "Rims." The second movement, "Stars Over the Rimrocks," highlights the magical night view from the mountains when the twinkling lights of the city appear to meet the starlit sky. The suite is completed with "Rimrock Rag," a rousing ragtime piece that captures the energy of the wildlife and foliage of the area.
