Nathan East, Eric Clapton's longtime bassist, is one of the most respected musicians and sought-after sidemen in the industry. In addition to working with Eric Clapton, Nathan has performed and recorded with a "Hall of Fame" roster of artists including Elton John, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Al Jarreau, Herbie Hancock, George Harrison, Joe Pass, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Barry White, George Benson, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Tom Jones, B. B. King, Madonna, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, and Sting. In addition, Nathan is a founding member of the jazz supergroup Fourplay, with Bob James (keyboard), Lee Ritenour (guitar, later Larry Carlton), and Harvey Mason (drums).
