Other than the disc that comes with the book and the fact that the songs were recorded using up six guitars using over dubbing, while the book will show 3 or so guitars but mainly combines all the over dubbing into one main guitar riff. The book can really help guitar players to learn newer and more difficult guitar techniques, mainly sweeps. The book depicts with great accuracy, Brendon Smalls guitar techniques and preferences. Now the DVD that comes with it shows the solo, and solo only, of the dethjingle, which is not in the book. It also shows how to play the deth theme. thats it unfortunately, but what is shown is very helpful.

I know for a fact that Brendon Small worked with the people at Alfred Publishing on this book. He spoke of it at NAMM. The only discrepancies with this book are that some parts on the album were recorded with up to six guitars dubbed on top of each other whereas the book is mostly designed for play with two guitars. To do this some (but not a lot - there aren't many six-guitar parts on the album =p) parts which are dubbed on multiple guitars are, instead, stacked on one or two guitars. Small says this is how he and Mike Keneally play the album live. Overall this book is wonderfully notated and true to the album. /no1

A good Tab of Dethklok's amazing first album. It comes with a DVD showing Brendon Small teaching you how to play the Deththeme and the famous Wizard Master class from Skwisgar showing you how to play The Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle.
