If I wanted to connect to a mixer for live performances and my mixer has a usb input would the dongle work like it would through a computer?

How much space is needed on the computer to install the keytar related software that comes with it and will allow performance?
The 3 softwares included are lite editions so they won't take up too much room. 2 to 6 gigs per software at the most.submitted7 years ago

Can you play it without connecting it to anything? Like can i play and listen to the sounds from the keytar itself? Or do i really need to make a wireless connection?
This keytar is a midi controller, so it would need to be wirelessly connected to a computer in order to hear any sounds from the keytar.
