Right now it acts as my backup/mobile keyboard as familiarize myself with all of its functions. Also, I can't do much until Catalina is supports Alesis programs.
Work and sounds great. Documentation is lacking.

Works great and was fairly easy to get setup. The Xpand2 sounds are great! Alesis could provide better documentation or insight into how the unit works with various DAW's and perhaps examples of how people program the various knobs and pads.
It's a good keyboard!

I use it in Studio One Artist. It has a great semi-weighted feel to the keys. Which makes it easier for me to be creative with. I previously used a Presonus synth controller to play on and I didn't like the "mushy" key feel. Plus the price was pretty decent for what you get.

I'm not an musician, but got it for myself to play and daughter play. For the price its a good midi keyboard. The keys are pretty solid compared so some of the others I've tried in this price range. They don't feel super plastic or cheap. It's pretty easy to setup with Abelton.
Awesome!!!

I'm happy that it worked instantly with my Acoustica Studio Pro 7 software, 64-bit. I'm having problems getting it to work with Ableton Live Lite 9, which I think is a windows 10 problem? It works in Propeller Reason though I'm only on a trial, so I can't say much about the software at this point. I love the looks of the keyboard, the overall sturdy quality, the rubber pads underneath so it won't scratch tables, the touch pads though a bit stiff, the feel of the keys in general except they are a bit stiff and go into expression fade away too quickly. Perhaps needs broken in. It arrived on time and in good shape. I'm looking forward to having a lot of fun creating music and learning in general.

Is the midi controller compatible with all recent Mac OS' and with older versions of Pro Tools? (I think I'm on a 2019 or 2020 version of PTs)
I’m sorry, I don’t know. Perhaps an inquiry to Alesissubmitted7 years ago

Is there a sustaining pedal that would go with this type keyboard?
You can use the Proline Professional Sustain Pedal if you like piano style sustain pedals or for a good box style M-Audio SP-1 Sustain Pedal. You can use the Proline Professional Sustain Pedal if you like piano style sustain pedals or for a good box style M-Audio SP-1 Sustain Pedal.submitted7 years ago
