Feel the expression of playing on full-sized, semi-weighted keys, but in a compact sized controller that will easily integrate into any desktop production setup. Introducing the VI49 Keyboard Controller with 49 full-sized, square-front keys, 16 LED backlit touchpads with velocity and pressure sensitivity, 12 assignable knobs and 36 assignable buttons, pitch and mod wheels with expressive control and seamless visual feedback from the illuminated buttons and knobs. The VI49 has everything you need to produce, perform and create music.

The VI Series adds semi-weighted keys and aftertouch to the V series line of controllers. This layout provides intensive command over the clip trigger workflow of top DAW and compositional software. The internal clock offers drum roll, tempo, and sync capabilities. An optional power supply and a standard MIDI output allow for stand-alone use.

    Keyboard stopped turning on. Took it to an electronics specialist and he couldn't get it to work and commented on the low quality build of the device. I couldn't get hold of customer support for warranty.

    I bought this as a gift to my partner, who is the type to tinker with tech. I am not that person. Currently, we are both using the controller with ease. I use it for vocal lessons, and it is simple for me to use as just a piano keyboard. My partner likes to use it for more creative endeavors, and tests its limits more than I could ever think to. It is his first MIDI controller, and he is enjoying all of its capabilities. I would highly recommend this controller. The value is excellent, and it is very flexible for all levels. PS - the salespeople at the Lexington, KY location were top-notch and helped my decision tremendously. Sky was particularly knowledgeable, and I would buy from them again in a heartbeat!

    I bought this keyboard because it had everything I was looking for in a midi controller, and wasn't too expensive. I wasn't quite sure that this controller would would work with Reason or not, so I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it synced perfectly. Everything on the keyboard is fully assignable, and has a durable feel. The drum pads are really responsive and help with the flow of creativity. Great product.

    This keyboard looked great it felt good but the latency is the killer for this keyboard i have a Macbook Pro 15" 16GB 500gb hard drive etc and the latency for this keyboard on any logic software was 193 when the i/o buffer was at 32 and 230ish at 1024 buffer that is crazy late especially when your playing the piano or trying to make a beat. but the keyboard i was really nice but they have to do something about that latency. people told me about it and i thought O maybe its their computer or they don' t know how to change it but it really is that bad

    I use this controller for producing my own music and scoring films. I've used a few other midi controllers( M-Audio Oxygen, Akai Professional MPK), but I'm not a fan of their keybeds. I like the feel of the VI-49 a little better, but eventually I want to upgrade to a Komplete Kontrol 61 or a Novation Impulse 61. Basically, if you're gonna buy this, you should probably have a plan to upgrade to something else.
