Ahead Wicked Chops Practice Pad

This is definitely a challenge! But it is fun and helps improve accuracy and fine tune your grip technique. I spend about 30-45 minutes a day working with it. Well made..in the USA!!

This pad is great for building accuracy, especially if you start to lose proper technique when playing at high speeds. If you practice for fifteen minutes on this thing, you will notice change immediately when you get back on the set or snare. It can be REALLY frustrating at times when you keep hitting your sticks or flat out missing the pad, but as you practice you won't find that happening anymore. It's worth noting that wood tip sticks seem to not have a lot of rebound, so I recommend nylon tip sticks. I wouldn't recommend for a primary practice pad, just because there's some things that are impossible to play on it even for a professional drummer, but this is a great pad to have in your arsenal whenever you feel your chops slipping.
