What a Great Practice Amp

Just bought this amp last week and I am really enjoying it for practice. If you buy this amp expecting to play gigs with it you will be sorely disappointed, buy it with the expectations of what it is...a practice amp. I particularly enjoy the natural sound it has, it does not add anything that your bass doesn't have. The 4 band eq is sensitive and will help to shape your pretty much how you want it. The separate overdrive section is effective and can add a nice growl to your sound. I pretty much keep my eq setting in the middle and the overdrive off because I use a Tech 21 Bass VT Pedal and this amp roars with this pedal...I honestly love this set up. If you buy this knowing its limitations, you will love this amp. If you need a solid and true practice amp, then this may be what you are looking for!

meh.

The first time I used this amp after purchasing it new, it was discovered that there is a problem with one of the eq pots that causes it to make an obnoxious buzzing, humming, hissing sound. I tried taking the amp out of the speaker cab assembly to see if I could resolve this, but the speaker enclosure was assembled around the amp making impossible to remove the amp without destroying the speaker cable or speaker enclosure. Other than this problem, the amp gets a more than acceptable tone for the price you pay, but makes me wonder how many other amps have the same problem mine does.

    I am a collector. Gave one of my Fender basses to a very young man so he needed a practice amp. I was thoroughly surprised with the tone and the bottom end. Unmodified 75 Musicmaster sounded great through it. He is just learning, but he could use it to play in a small venue. Very satisfied.

    I originally purchased a B15, fifteen watt, ten inch speaker. Great little amp but after a few weeks of using it, I decided I needed to step up. I had the extended warranty that said I could exchange for any reason. I took it back to the store and exchanged it for the B30. thirty watts, twelve inch speaker and paid the difference in the price which was apx thirty dollars. This one is way more bass amp than I really needed. Great sound. Loud. Good solid, deep bass. This amp would work great for small bars and clubs with plenty of headroom to spare. The low E really pumps without farting out. The guys at Guitar Center made everything hassle free and easy. Great crew. I have been doing business with this store for years with nothing but good things to say about how I have been treated. Great amp. Great store.
