Wow! Amazing Mic for an Amazing Price!

When I bought this microphone I did not expect much because of the price. But once again AKG delivered flawless results. I use this mic primarily for acoustic guitar fret miking and for drum overheads and I love the results. Especially on the acoustic guitar. I do wish a case was included for this microphone but I find that you can fit it in AKG's Perception 220 case (which I also have). I understand this is not ideal but I do know you can buy spare cases for cheap or make something work. This will be in use for my studio for a long time!!

If you are on a budget, but still want quality, the AKG perception 170 is a great bang for the buck. I liked this mic so much, I went back to guitar center and picked up another one! I have used these mics for drum overheads and to mic acoustic guitars. They have great uncolored sound, and are very reliable and durable. I also would like to point out the 20 db roll off switch. It is a great feature to find on a less expensive mic. Buy it, you won't regret it!
