I have owned two C419's, and the C519M is an improvement, mostly because of the detachable cord. The thin fixed cord on the C419 eventually started to buzz and not work (embarrassing me at a concert) and I had to buy a whole new mic. When my second one started going bad, I was pleased to see the new heavier cord on the C519M. This cord started to go bad, and all I had to do was replace the adaptor-cord. The mic has close to 20-20 hz response, is very flat in response, and is nice and loud, mostly because of the use of phantom power. It clips easily to my alto, soprano, and baritone saxophones, and would work well for a trumpet or trombone. I use the included windscreen all the time. It doesn't seem to take away from high frequencys, and keeps the mic element clean. The gooseneck is durable, and the clip has never let me down. I kept my old case from my C419, as the C595m comes with a soft bag - not much protection for something of this nature. It has a great look and feel - practically disappears in use! I wrap up a lot of the cord, and stick it in my back pocket where it plugs into a standard xlr cord.
