Sixteen years after their infamous split, when Oasis returned to the stage for its Live ’25 tour, it wasn’t just a reunion—it was a revival of an era. The first chords of classics like “Rock ’n’ Roll Star” and “Champagne Supernova” defined the power of a guitar to a generation of players.
Three guitars stand at the heart of Oasis’ return: the Gibson Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard, the Epiphone Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton and the Epiphone Bonehead Riviera. Each one captures a piece of the band’s DNA, delivering the tones that shaped Britpop’s golden years and beyond.
Gibson Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard
Over the years, Noel Gallagher’s longstanding relationship with Gibson and Epiphone has netted him a signature Epiphone Supernova semi-hollow (1997), a Gibson J-150 acoustic (2021), a Gibson Custom ’60 ES-355 (2022) and an Epiphone Riviera (2022).
Now, the Gibson Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard brings more of Noel’s unmistakable tone and attitude to life. Modeled after the Murphy Lab Custom Shop run that debuted at the Gibson Garage in London, this production version delivers the same blend of power, punch and shimmer that helped define the Oasis sound.
“Oasis was everywhere around my childhood,” says Mark Agnesi, Gibson’s Director of Brand Experience. “Noel put this model together to harken back to the ’90s, but in a new way for this tour. Those Gibson P-90s give you a huge midrange punch and that chime on the big open chords Noel loves to play.”
Featuring a mahogany body and maple top, the Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard also includes a SlimTaper neck, rosewood fingerboard, dual P-90s and Orange Drop capacitors (handwired to the guitar’s Volume and Tone controls).
Longtime Noel Gallagher fans acquainted with his love of Neil Young may also spot the subtle aesthetic influence “Old Black” has had on this signature Les Paul Standard—its chrome hardware.
In Gallagher’s own words from a 2011 interview with MOJO, “Neil Young's always been very respectful to Oasis, and to me when I’ve met him ... The world can be split into two camps: people that like Neil Young and people that don’t. And the people that don’t are ... [you can imagine the rest].”

Epiphone Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton
Class meets swagger in the Epiphone Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton—which is modeled after the guitar Noel gifted to his longtime bandmate.
Crafted with premium features, such as multi-ply binding, gold parts and fancy fingerboard and headstock inlays, the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton is also ready to rock with its layered maple/poplar body and maple centerblock, mahogany ’60s C-shaped neck, ABR-1 bridge and trapeze tailpiece and two Gibson USA mini humbuckers.
“Each Oasis guitar lives in a different pickup lane,” says Agnesi. “Noel has P-90s on his Les Paul Standard, Bonehead’s Riviera has humbuckers, and you have Gem playing mini humbuckers—all of which really help those guitars separate themselves on stage from one another.”

Epiphone Bonehead Riviera
The Epiphone Bonehead Riviera is a recreation of Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs’ made-in-Japan, 1982 Riviera—the model heard all over Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? and Be Here Now, as well as what he used playing to 250,000 people at Knebworth in 1996.
The Epiphone Bonehead Riviera offers a 5-ply layered maple body with a maple centerblock, SlimTaper C maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers.
“Bonehead’s Riviera is from 1982, so it has full-size humbuckers, unlike the mini humbuckers of ’60s Rivieras,” Agnesi explains. “We’re stoked to have the Oasis reunion bringing all three of these guitars together: Noel’s Les Paul, Gem’s Sheraton and Bonehead’s Riviera—which rounds out the trio perfectly.”

The Sound of a Reunion
Across three instruments, Gibson and Epiphone have captured the essence of Oasis’ guitar interplay—three distinct voices working in harmony. Noel’s Les Paul Standard provides that muscular, melodic midrange; Gem’s Sheraton adds glassy articulation; and Bonehead’s Riviera brings the warmth and weight that glue it all together.
Together, they tell a story that’s equal parts nostalgia and evolution—a reminder that great tone never goes out of style.
