2019 Gibson Electric Guitars

The 2019 Gibson Designer Models include the Firebird, the Flying V and the Explorer. These three models were ahead of their time when first created, but now have a huge following. Each designer guitar is available in a choice of finishes, including some B-2 versions that sport a stealthy satin ebony finish.

The 2019 Gibson Standard Series models respect tradition with historically accurate appointments. These are Gibson’s most famous and legendary guitars that countless artists have played and we’ve all heard in the recordings of America’s most cherished music of the past century. With traditional appointments, Standard Series models include the J-45 Standard acoustic/electric, the J-200 Standard acoustic/electric, the J-45 Standard, the L-00 Standard, the J-15, the J-45 Cutaway, the Hummingbird and the Hummingbird acoustic/electric. Many of these models are available in limited-edition versions that are fashioned in vintage- and antique-style finishes that are sure to please the connoisseur in you.

Taking details up a notch or two are the 2019 Gibson Deluxe Series guitars. These are Gibson’s most famous and popular models with upgraded features like beautiful rosewood back and sides, gold tuners, Adirondack red spruce tops and custom top trim. The collection includes the Hummingbird Deluxe, the J-200 Deluxe, the J-45 Deluxe and the L-00 Deluxe. All of the Deluxe guitars feature a beautiful rosewood burst finish.

Players who prize vintage instruments will find their favorite Gibson acoustic guitar within the 2019 Gibson Vintage Series. Vintage editions of Gibson’s famous acoustics all feature Thermally Aged tops. The tone, feel and look of these will give a performer the experience of owning and playing a 60-to-80-year-old acoustic. They are all hand-built with the same tonewoods used to create the original icons, along with period-correct bracing patterns and relic, vintage-style tuners. The Vintage Series includes the Hummingbird Vintage, the J-200 Vintage and the J-45 Vintage. All three are available in limited-edition versions with Vintage Sunburst finishes or a spectacular Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish.

Does the 2019 Gibson Sustainable Series of acoustic guitars mean you get more sustain? It might, but it certainly means that Gibson is offering players instruments that are made from earth-sustainable elements. In addition, these guitars mark the introduction of a breakthrough finish of natural beeswax. The Sustainable Series includes the Hummingbird Sustainable, the J-45 Sustainable and the L-00 Sustainable. All three are limited-editions that feature an Antique Natural finish from beeswax.

2019 Gibson Electric Basses

Bassists will appreciate the updated selection of 2019 Gibson Bass Models. If you prefer a shorter scale, the SG Standard Bass comes in two finishes with all of the time-honored features. The Thunderbird Bass offers a regular scale, versatile electronics and a choice of sunburst finishes. The EB 4 and EB 5 basses are the most affordable of the group, offering modern players the performance of dual humbuckers and a 5-string option, all in sleek satin finishes.
