Alesis Strike Max Electronic Drum Kit: Why KlueWorld Calls It His Creative Home

Alesis Strike Max Electronic Drum Kit: Why KlueWorld Calls It His Creative Home
Michael Molenda

Drummer, musical director and podcaster KlueWorld shares why he loves playing the Alesis Strike Max electronic drum kit—a Guitar Center exclusive—calling out its authentic feel, expansive sound library and creative flexibility for everything from recording sessions to rehearsals and live performances.

"Alesis has created a home for me with this kit," he says. "I can go to any space in the world with the built-in sounds. I can sit in one place and paint so many different pictures. I don't have to reach down and get a different snare or swap cymbals. I can go from rock to hip-hop with the click of a button."

Made for Everything

The feature set of the Alesis Strike Max electronic drums makes it easy to use the kit for rehearsals, home studio sessions and live gigs.

“This is a kit that's going to help you elevate your drumming,” says KlueWorld. “All you have to do is take the time to just pour into your craft. The Strike Max can take you to many places that most electronic drum kits don't. It feels great and looks incredible—whether you choose the Red Nebula or Black Galaxy finish.”

The creative versatility of the Alesis Strike Max is driven by the kit’s 440 onboard sounds, 40 preset kits, 80 play-along tracks, USB and MIDI connectivity, Bluetooth Audio and natural-feeling mesh drum heads.

Authentic Zildjian Cymbal Sounds Built In

One of KlueWorld's favorite upgrades on the Alesis Strike Max is the inclusion of a third cymbal pad, giving players a hi-hat, two crash cymbals with choke and a ride. Even better, the drum module includes authentic Zildjian cymbal sounds.

“It's exciting that Zildjian has put their stamp of approval on these amazing cymbals," says KlueWorld. “The Zildjian cymbal sounds are built right into the brain, and you can push the drum tones a step further by using the acoustic drum samples from the free BFD Player software.”

Count Off

KlueWorld has had a long relationship with Alesis drums—“It’s like a happy marriage,” he says—and the Strike Max isn’t the only option.
