Description

Bring Dante connectivity closer to the stage with the Yamaha RUio1608SB-D Dante stage box, a portable 16-input/8-output solution designed for live sound, temporary events and professional systems requiring flexible I/O placement. Its digital snake-style design allows the unit to sit on the stage floor near performers and equipment, while an optional rackmount kit supports integration into road racks and more permanent systems. The RUio1608SB-D combines 16 analog inputs and eight analog outputs with head amp performance comparable to the Yamaha DM3, providing reliable connectivity for microphones and other stage sources. Support for sampling frequencies up to 96kHz enables integration into high-resolution Dante networks, while the compact enclosure makes the stage box easy to transport and position. As part of Yamaha’s RUio utility I/O family, it expands system connectivity while complementing the company’s mixers, stage boxes and immersive audio processors.

Sixteen Inputs and Eight Outputs Expand Stage Connectivity

The RUio1608SB-D places 16 analog inputs and eight analog outputs close to performers and stage equipment, reducing the need for long individual cable runs back to the mixing position. Its head amps provide performance comparable to those in the Yamaha DM3, supporting consistent operation across Yamaha-based live systems. This 16-in/8-out configuration gives engineers a practical way to connect microphone and stage sources while routing output signals through the same Dante-enabled unit.

High-Resolution Dante Audio Supports Professional Systems

Digital audio support includes 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz and 96kHz sampling frequencies for compatibility with a range of Dante-based systems. Under specified conditions with a Yamaha DM5 and Dante Receive Latency set to 0.25ms, signal delay measures less than 1.7ms at 96kHz and less than 2ms at 48kHz. Multiple pull-up and pull-down rates provide additional clocking flexibility for professional audio and production environments.

Portable Design Adapts to Floor or Rack Placement

Measuring 14.7" wide by 6.7" high by 5.7" deep and weighing 7.7 lb., the RUio1608SB-D is compact enough for transport between temporary events and live productions. The enclosure can be positioned directly on the floor for convenient stage access or installed in a rack using the optional mounting kit. For mobile rigs, temporary systems or installations requiring adaptable I/O placement, the Yamaha RUio1608SB-D provides portable Dante expansion with flexible deployment options.
