The AT-2 outputs either a 1kHz sine wave or pink noise, giving technicians and musicians two practical signal sources for diagnosing audio systems. The 1kHz tone quickly confirms whether a signal is reaching a channel, speaker, pedal, DI or wireless system, while pink noise is useful for evaluating overall speaker performance and signal distribution. The built-in XLR cable tester verifies whether pins 1, 2 and 3 are properly connected, while XLR input metering uses SG and PK indicators to display signal presence and peak status at a glance.

Phantom Power Detection and Audio Monitoring

The phantom power check measures voltage on XLR pins 2 and 3, providing a simple way to verify whether a mixer, interface or preamp is supplying phantom power correctly.
