Description

The Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe is an iconic modulation pedal originally developed in Japan during the late 1960s to simulate the "Doppler" sound of a rotating Leslie speaker. It became legendary for its thick, pulsating "liquid" tone, famously used by guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix and David Gilmour. Originally designed by audio engineer Fumio Mieda, the effect was first introduced by the Honey company as the "Vibra-Chorus" before being rebranded as the Uni-Vibe under Shin-Ei (and later Univox in international markets).
