Electro-Harmonix

Description

The 1978 Electro-Harmonix Big Muff (specifically Versions 4 and 5) is a cult-classic distortion and sustainer pedal. Famously transitioning to operational amplifiers (op-amps) instead of traditional transistors, it delivers a highly saturated, metallic, and crushing "wall-of-sound" fuzz. It is the iconic circuit used by Billy Corgan on The Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream.
