Dual-Channel Design With Independent Signal Integrity

The PCH-X2 houses two fully independent DI channels within a single enclosure, each equipped with its own custom audio transformer for true galvanic isolation. This design helps eliminate ground loops and unwanted noise while maintaining exceptionally transparent signal transfer. With a wide frequency response extending from deep sub frequencies around 10Hz to well beyond the audible range at 80kHz, each channel preserves low-end fundamentals and harmonic detail without the distortion or loss often associated with conventional direct boxes.

Advanced Routing for Stereo and Mono Integration

Designed for real-world flexibility, the PCH-X2 makes it easy to manage stereo and dual-channel signals across a range of setups. A dedicated Sum switch merges the left and right inputs and routes them to the left output, allowing stereo sources to be sent to a mono front-of-house system without repatching. A phase reversal switch on the left XLR output enables quick polarity adjustment to resolve phase issues in complex rigs. Each channel also includes a ground lift switch to reduce hum and a three-position high-pass filter, with selectable cutoff points at 80Hz for controlling low-end rumble or 240Hz for creating additional space in a mix.

Road-Ready Construction With Flexible Connectivity

Engineered for demanding environments, the PCH-X2 features a rugged 3 mm extruded aluminum chassis with reinforced ribs for dependable protection onstage or in the studio. The enclosure’s awning-style design shields switches from accidental impact while keeping them accessible during setup. Each channel includes a non-buffered Thru output, allowing signals to be sent simultaneously to an amplifier or monitor while feeding a balanced XLR output to a mixer or recording interface. Powered by standard 48V phantom power (per channel) and compact enough for easy integration into pedalboards or rack drawers, the Strymon PCH-X2 Active Stereo DI Isolator delivers transparent performance and expanded control for stereo and dual-channel applications.
