This compact, single-channel active DI converts instrument-level signals from guitars, basses, keyboards and other line-level sources into balanced outputs for mixers and recording interfaces, while preserving tonal integrity throughout the signal chain. At the core of the PCH-X1 is a custom audio transformer that provides true galvanic isolation while maintaining exceptionally clean signal transfer. This design helps eliminate ground loops and interference that can introduce hum or unwanted noise in live and studio setups. The result is a balanced, transparent signal path that remains flat across a wide frequency range, allowing instruments such as bass guitar, electric guitar or keyboards to retain their full tonal character without unwanted coloration.

Extended Frequency Response With Practical Tone Control

Engineered for accuracy, the mono PCH-X1 delivers an extremely flat frequency response—from deep sub frequencies around 10Hz to extended high frequencies up to 80kHz—ensuring faithful reproduction of both low-end fundamentals and harmonic detail. Total harmonic distortion remains exceptionally low, preserving clarity even at higher signal levels. Practical controls include a ground lift switch to reduce hum and a three-position high-pass filter, allowing you to roll off low frequencies at 80Hz to control stage rumble or at 240Hz to create space in a mix.

Built for real-world use, the PCH-X1 features a rugged 3 mm extruded aluminum chassis with reinforced ribs for reliable protection onstage or in the studio. The enclosure’s awning-style design shields switches from accidental impact while keeping them easily accessible during setup. A non-buffered Thru output enables simultaneous routing to an onstage amplifier or monitor while sending a balanced XLR signal to front of house or a recording interface.
