Mine's dragon burst, but most qualities apply to all of them. I love my guitar. The switches, and pots, have the perfect feel. The frets are fast, but not sloppy. The fretboard has a positive feel. The sustain is fantastic. The body feels just right, whether I'm sitting, or standing. The weight feels good, and doesn't fatigue the shoulder. I just don't have anything bad to say about it.

  • Good alternative if you like passive pickups

I have owned a lot of schecter guitars and this one is really nice if you like the look of the hellraiser but prefer passive pickups. The pickups are schecters own brimstone pickups and are very ballsy sounding but have great clarity. I got the red one but the black one is a satin finish so if you don't like the lacquered neck finish it should be fine. The neck is really comfy I think, not as nice as my Ltd my 1000 but it's pretty close it's just a little rounder on the back of the neck. Everything came set up great and it plays like butter, one of the volume knobs on mine has a slight scratch but whatever it's very minor and it doesn't effect the playability. So if you want a higher end schecter with passive pickups, this or the blackjack sls are great options.
