Roland

Description

The RAS-SO1 is a rugged and portable stand that lifts your amp off the floor and angles it upward for better sound projection. It can be a critical part of keeping stage volume low, as it allows the guitarist to hear his or her amp much more clearly and at a much lower volume than if the amp is sitting on the stage.

Its durable steel construction supports up to 40 lb. and the compact design takes up minimal floor space. Adjustable rubber feet provide stability on uneven surfaces and the stand folds down for easy transport and storage. Ideal for home, school, studio, and stage, the RAS-S01 is a great companion for small combo amps and speaker cabinets.

Gets the Amp up off the floor and at an angle for sitting or standing while I practice, makes adjusting the Amp controls easy and you can see them at a glance without bending over or squatting. I believe it improves sound quality too.

Perfect for my Eric Clapton Vibro Champ 5watt. Works for Blues Jr III too. But don't waste your money on upgrading your Blues Jr. III. The 57 tweeds are warm and fuzzy like putting on a new sweater.

  • Odd incompatibility with my small Roland amp

Did not work with my small Roland Cube 20XL Bass amp for two very odd reasons: 1) The amp rests against the stand exactly where the power cord goes into the back so it can't sit properly in place as the feet and cord rack fit perfectly between the arms so this amp cannot be repositioned in this stand. 2 Because the amp is not tall enough (it is 13"), most of the weight was hanging out the front of the stand which made it very unstable and would tip over at the slightest provocation. If not for the instability I would have just modified it to fit the cord. Doesn't Roland check the dimensions of their own amps before engineering a stand that claims to be specifically for them? There is only a small adjustment for height so no way to compensate for either deficiency. Duh! Too bad, because it was otherwise exactly what I need. It's well built, looks good and the price is right. What a bizarre and unfortunate oversight on Roland's part. Had to knock off a star because I had to take it back. ☹️

Small footprint, lightweight, correct angle for sound projection. I use this rig with a Buscarino arch top for jazz. Very happy.

As Thomas stated earlier, is this stand suitable for the BossKatana 50 mkll? Boss is a Roland branded amp. Will the back braces interfere with any of the Katana's plug-in ports? Is the open back of the Katana a consideration for using this stand? The regular amp stand I am currently using is too big and the support bar interfers with plug-ins. I am assuming that Thomas was having the same issues. If you could, a simple yes or no answers will be fine. If it is suitable, I will come right down to pick one up. Thanks!

10-7/8" (height of back support) x 11-1/2" (width base arms) x 4" (base arms). Your amp is 18.9" wide. You'll be fine.

What is the "outside to outside" distance between the lower supports that hold the amp? I have a CUBE 80XL and I want to know if the spacing of the lower supports will fit between the two feet on the CUBE. The CUBE feet measure 11" between their inner edges.
