Great evolution of an already incredible instrument. Hopefully a peek into what Ric can do to future instruments with the bridge and single truss rod. Beautiful tone and a much comfier feel for someone that likes to rest their thumb on a chunky pickup or plays near the neck, than your average 4003. A masterpiece.

I'm not in a band just now, so, I use the Ric 4003ac for jams and personal songwriting for now. It will approximate Geddy Lee of Rush's Ric tone of the 1970's with both pick ups on and the right gear. Got a great deal on it from GC. It's such a great playing Ric I don't want to stop playing it. Yes, It's a pricey piece, it"s worth it. Probably a future collectable. Excellent woodworking, nice grain walnut body wings and the 2 piece maple thru neck has a flame pattern to it. I like the green fret markers. Some people don't. 1st Ric I've owned. My other basses are Guild Pilots 4 & 5"s. Grab one before they"re gone!
