Great Value, Great sound
I shopped and shopped to replace my entry level acoustic. I played in the 2 NYC GC's a variety of guitars. Choosing a guitar is a personal thing; you need to find something that grabs you. There are 2 main makers in the acoustic arena: Martin & Taylor. I tried them and was set on a Taylor 214 CE Deluxe. Loved the feel; liked the sound; did not like the high price. I looked at Seagull, Epiphone, Ovation, Alverez, basically all the stores had on hand. A GC sales pointed me towards the Yammies' A-Series. they felt (to me) like the Taylor. Bottom line: I got the A1M. Solid top/lam. sides/ Mahogany. Sounds FULL; setup was great; looks great. I have to applaud Danny in the Carle Place NY location for giving me extra attention when I picked this up. He changed the strings; treated the fretboard and bridge all in the middle of Christmas rush even though the guitar was only on the floor for about a week. On top of this , I got a $50 Factory rebate. If you want a solid top/back& sides: look at the A3. To me, this guitar is still a better instrument than I am a player. After 3 weeks of playing, I have no issues at all. this is a great value instrument

I would by it again but it was not advertise correct.
Like it but they say solid did back and sides but it is mahogany laminate. They advertised it as solid back and sides and that is one of the reasons. I bought it. It is a solid spruce top. Please fix your specs Guitar Center.

This guitar is wonderful. It tunes up well, looks cool, sounds beautiful, and is a pleasure to play. I love the matte finish on the neck and the spruce top resonates rich tone. Best value I have found in a steel string acoustic, and I have owned many. Yamaha nailed it this time!
This guitar speaks!

I love the deep tone of this guitar and the way it resonates as you play. I tried every acoustic display model on the floor and this one outshined them all.
It stole my heart.

I went in with my mind set on many other guitars—anything but a Yamaha—because I had let myself be swayed by the notion that it isn't a "cool" brand. All I can say is that I can't wait to get home to play my A1M. I love the way it sounds and the way it feels to play. I think it should cost at least over $1,000. Don't tell Yamaha.
Never met a Yamaha I didn't like! 😊

I went down to my local Guitar Center in Johnson City, New York looking for a relatively inexpensive backup gig guitar. At first my eyes zeroed in on an Epiphone Dove studio; probably because it was down right beautiful. But I've learned over the years, not to buy a guitar on looks alone, and this was one of those times. Right away, I started looking at the Yamahas there, and this A1M seemed to fit perfectly. I'm pretty fond of Yamahas, and currently own a AC3M DLX, which I've used at many of my gigs because I love it. This A1M was less expensive (and on sale), but quickly won me over because of its great feel and playability. I mean, right out of the box performance! Honestly, it's difficult to distinguish the difference in feel between this and the AC3M. I did swear, in the past, that I'd never own another black car or guitar, but this was right there so I went with it. FYI, even though it appears to be solid black in the pictures, it actually has a very subtle turquoise (I think) burst. Very cool! Nuts and bolts; it's very easy to play; the neck is perfect for my hand. It sounds great plugged in or not. Also has a built in tuner. Not sure what else I can tell other than if you're looking for a quality instrument at a reasonable price, this A1M checks all the boxes.
More than expected!
