Built from a 1.5 mm spun red copper shell with a sealed raw finish, it produces a warm, focused tone with smooth articulation and controlled overtones that sit naturally in the mix. Chrome-plated hardware, OCDP offset lugs and Remo UT heads complete a performance-ready snare drum that carries forward OCDP’s custom shop identity with modern reliability.

Spun Red Copper Shell Delivers Warmth, Control and Focused Response

The spun red copper shell gives this snare a darker tonal profile with reduced high-frequency bite and controlled sustain. At 1.5 mm thick, the shell responds quickly while maintaining body and articulation across a wide dynamic range. The 45-degree bearing edges support consistent head contact and tuning stability, allowing players to shape everything from tight, focused articulation to slightly more open response.

Born out of Southern California’s underground custom drum scene, Orange County Drum & Percussion became one of the most recognizable boutique drum builders of the 1990s and early 2000s.
