    I bought this guitar a couple of months ago, and I am just simply amazed by the sound it produces. The guitar feels comfortable and easy to play out of the box. For anyone who plays Mexican Regional music, this is the guitar to step up from the Takamine GD-30. I change the octave strings for strings that are in unison, to suit Mexican Regional Music. However, I had to install a bridge doctor for this modification. The electronics are also outstanding. The only con I can think of is that it comes with a gig bag instead of a case. I would buy a hard case instead of relying on the gig bag.

    Yes, you can take your Takamine GD38CE 12-string to your local Guitar Center for installation of a Bridge Doctor and additional bridge reinforcement — but there are some important details to keep in mind before proceeding. internal bridge work. Not all Guitar Centers offer full lutherie services. You’ll need to call your local store to confirm they can do internal bridge work.
