Description

The super affordable Rogue RA-090 concert acoustic-electric guitar is an excellent entry-level 25.4" scale guitar with laminate whitewood body and top finished off by a natural gloss to keep it in peak condition for years. Other features include a single cutaway for more fret access, nato C-shaped neck, simulated rosewood fingerboard, simulated rosewood belly bridge and an ivory color plastic saddle and nut. Rounding out its fabulous appointments is an Eden MET-A06 undersaddle pickup system with 3-band EQ and tuner.

Great value!

It has been years since I played a guitar, and I wanted an acoustic-electric. The price was right, and I took a "representative sample" in the store or a test drive. I liked who it felt. The action was good and the tone was nice. I ordered it. It came well within the time frame estimated. It was well packaged, and it arrived with no damage to either the packaging, or the guitar. Kudos, UPS! I was disappointed to see that there was no documentation as to how to use the electric box. I stumbled through using the tuner, and I'm not really sure I have it right. What I have sounds good, and the tuner says it's right on. It's up to the quality of the strings as to whether the instrument stays in tune, as well as weather conditions.I don't expect this guitar to stay in tune until the strings get used to being tightened. All in all, this guitar looks good, feels good, sounds good and is light. Throw in some docs about using the box, and this will be a five star piece of equipment. I'm in practice mode right now, relearning and rebuilding calluses. It'll probably be this time next year before I do anything serious with it.

A bit inexpensive look, OK electronics, for campground jams

The guitar came at a low price and did not have visual defects, the strings were easily tunable, The visual appearance was a bit "cheap" with black back and no nice wood texture on front. I was lured by a sale ad on the web site. I was initially surprised that the strings touched many frets. Further inspection showed that the tension nut was over-tightened and the fretboard was bent back. Un-tightening it with the included wrench fixed the problem. I expected acoustic-electric guitar to have nylon strings and acoustic-style (wide) fretboard; this one had cheap wire wound steel strings and electric-guitar style (narrow) flat fretboard. So while it might be OK to play rhythm section, it is uneasy to play acoustic pieces on that. I would immediately replace the strings with some flat-wound ones as they do too much finger noise. The pick-up and preamplifier are generally OK, with standard high/mid/low tone controls, volume and phase switch. Unfortunately, there is no preamp power switch, so the user should take out battery when not in use. With steel strings they make bright tone, and maybe too bright ("metallic") bass. However, with more time, I discovered that the shielding is not perfect, and there is some audible hum which appears when your hand is on the bridge or close to the preamplifier location. Apparently, shielding needs to be improved. The tuner has a small LCD which clearly shows the note offset with +/-50 cents span, so it was easy to tune. On my guitar, there was a adhesive nylon cable tie inside to keep wires organized - and it was loose letting the loose wires to knock on the deck when playing. All these minor flaws could be easily fixed but would require disassembling; so I decided to return the guitar and got a different better one. Overall - it is a cheap basic guitar which, with some homework, may be made a good starter guitar for a practicing player, especially later going to electric guitar. Not good for classic guitar music lesson

    The guitar looks very nice and sounded nice during tuning. It is however completely the wrong color. I ordered the light green one and it looks like a dark teal instead. This is very upsetting because the light green is my fiancés favorite color and now it isn't even a shade of green.

    I wasn't disappointed. For price vs. quality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I see some reviews saying it feels cheaply made, but I disagree. Were they expecting a Taylor or a Martin for that price, perhaps? Mine has a really nice finish and a good tone. It's lightweight, but still feels solid. For the sale price, it's a good value/quality for a general-purpose acoustic… great for someone who hasn't played for a long time and is trying to improve their playing skills… for someone who wants an inexpensive, portable play-every-day guitar to practice, learn, and entertain friends with. I like the slightly smaller concert size (Ed Sheeran plays concert guitars). Sometimes a full-sized dreadnought can feel like a suit case under my arm. The setup and finish are nice, however the pick guard isn't much more than a thick decal. The action is a good compromise between low and high. Intonation runs just a tiny bit sharp (factory molded nut), which is negligible at my level of experience, and there is zero buzz.

    These guitars are garbage. I had an Estaban guitar that was better than this. They cant even br setup and dry out. I had mine in a case and it still basically degraded in less than 18 mos.

    Never buy it. The neck is crooked, the distance from the strings to the frets is large, your fingers will be covered in blood. To play this guitar, you need to fix it everywhere! If you are a beginner guitarist, never buy it, otherwise you will be disappointed!

    This is a great guitar, especially if they're just starting out. And it comes with a manufacturer's warranty which covers against manufacturer's defects.
