Open Box Line 6 BackTrack Instant Replay Recorder With Microphone Level 1

I first bought the Line 6 Backtrack + Mic in early 2009. The capability to record a band to share song ideas digitally throughout the years without having to press record has changed the way I've written music. It is easy to use and extremely useful for song writing. When we have inspiration we play both together and individual and our song ideas are captured immediately! Even through the audio file is recorded in Mono, the recording quality is very good depending on how close the mic is from the vocals, guitar(s), and drums, and balancing the bands volume levels. Also solo acoustics sounds very good as well. I love how the only thing you have to adjust are the mic levels so the mic doesn't clip (indicated by the red flashing light). Also there's a headphone jack for monitoring which is very helpful. The battery life lasts a really long time to, even when not in use for a while. The only thing I find unsatisfactory is that the recorder is made of cheap plastic and the labels smear eventually. The files recorded are .wav. so if you are sending them to band members or friends via email, you might want to convert them to a smaller file (like .aac) or it will take a long time to send them. Other than that a great product for capturing sound writers inspiration.

Then, let it run in the background--it'll automatically create a new file whernever you pause between ideas!. The BackTrack offers the same recording capabilities, just without the built-in mic!.

I needed something that could provide a quality recording and that could be downloaded to my lap top and saved as a file for burning CD's or e-mailing out of a file to my friends and family. This little device is exactly what I needed to serve my purpose and provides me with a quality sound and tone. It's a great little device and oh-so-easy to use. I'm not very high-tech and I would recommend this dandy little product to everyone that want a good portable sound recorder at a low cost or not having very deep pockets. I have no compliants what-so-ever. Very, very good product for the price, well done Line6. Just remember to connect it to yout USB port first to charge the unit before using. I didn't read the instruction first. Hay, I'm a guy what did you expect? Have fun with it and enjoy....

started out really great. I couldn't believe the quality and practicality it had to record. But after a long while it started working wrong. I record live on studio jams. It records some songs perfect, and some it just goes berzerk and trashes the sounds saturating all the audio file to a point where it's impossible to listen to. I restored factory settings several times, played with settings and nothing. Weird, as out of 10 songs recorded 2/3 are perfect...8/7 impossible to hear. I'm trying to find the receipt right now to see how to return it asap....

This was a shot in the dark. I needed a recorder for my Bands practice and wanted something CHEAP that would get the job done. THIS THING ROCKS!!!. Easy to use right outta the box and drops right into ITunes. It has a "MARK" button that will let u walk over and push after a good take to help u find it later. It records over 4 hrs of practice and has room still for more. I dont have editing capibilities so if you are looking for a rig to "Produce" with, this might not be of help, BUT if your a guy or band that wants to record what u are doin very easily, this is for you.

This is by far the best field recorder/portable recorder out there. I replaced my ENTIRE setup with this one little guy. It lets you play directly to it via the microphone and it has GREAT quality. It lets you plug stright in to cancel out noise in the background as well. It lets you record vocals too and a guitar at the same time so this one is a keeper
