Description
Lace equips the Helix LHB5 4-String Neck-Through Bass with the revolutionary Alumitone pickup, designed by Jeff Lace. The bass boasts a maple neck, stunning, multilaminated neck-through construction, mahogany body, dual Alumitone bass pickups, 3-way selector switch, and a master switch for volume and tone.
Lace Alumitone pickups are current driven instead of traditional voltage-based pickups, for higher fidelity broad-band response that creates tighter top-end, more mid-range and a huge bottom end. The passive Lace pickup outperforms many active systems, with sonic output that generally exceeds that of similar preamp equipped basses.
With today's increased environmental concerns, Lace also wanted to create a lightweight, advanced pickup that doesn't contribute to pollution caused by discarded batteries. Alumitone eliminates the need for conventional pickups with a preamp and battery, jettisoning almost 2 lbs without compromising output or performance. Lace Alumitone soapbar pickups and data knobs are made in the U.S.A. with installation and setup completed at the Lace Music factory in Huntington Beach, CA.
Lace includes a Red Label custom-fitting, custom-shaped, and custom-designed gig bag with the Helix Bass. The bag fits your Helix bass nice and snug, with a velco neck strap. It boasts heavy-duty zippers, leather zipper handles, leatherette front pad and end cover, Lace Red Label logo on the body section, and the Lace Helix logo along the neck area and shoulder strap. The gig bag's zippered, easy-access front storage pocket has a penholder, a front pocket large enough to fit cables, cellphones, wallets, straps, and your other small items. The Lace bass gig bag also offers a larger pouch perfect for sheet music or set lists.
