Buy it for the looks, play it because it's awesome

I purchased this on a whim because it's pretty and I wanted a Strat. The semi-transparent finish with blue burst top is stunning and the maple fretboard compliments it perfectly. My plan was originally to swap out the pickups for American variants, but the Player Series HSS pickups are shockingly good. The single coils are like Fat 50's with a little more juice. The humbucker is an Alnico II with a warm tone that's great for pushing high gain. The neck is why this feels so nice to play. This 9.5" C profile is the perfect sweet spot between thick and thin and the frets were nicely dressed out of the box. I spent about an hour on setup, as I do with any new guitar since I prefer low action and abhor fret buzz. The neck plays a lot like my American Deluxe Telecaster, which has a stellar 9.5-14.5" compound C to D neck with maple board, and that is a great thing. Tuning stability is also spot-on. I did upgrade the stock tuners to the Fender locking tuners. The stock tuners are perfectly fine, I'm just obsessed with the Fender locking version for ease of string changes and appearance reasons. While US-made and Japan-made instruments remain the best quality overall, Fender's Ensenada factory has come a long way. This is unreservedly a quality instrument without caveat and in my opinion is a tremendous value. I have several US-made models from various manufacturers but this is the one I've been playing most often.

They sold me an open box guitar with a closed box price

I bought that guitar online and picked it up from San Francisco store. When I arrive there, they said that they have only the showcase product. I already paid for a new guitar on the website, I had a flight to Istanbul the next day, so I had to buy it. The guitar has some problems on its handle and body, also the frets are worn. They did no discount for that, so I paid for a fully new guitar and got that one. I am not satisfied with that order.

    Overall I'm very happy with my experience. My new Stratocaster guitar looks absolutely beautiful & plays very well. It's solid, but not overly heavy or cumbersome. I can play up & down the fretboard with ease. I really love that Fender sound. Whether I'm just playing country, rock, blues or just something I created. That quality sounds shines through. I'd definitely recommend to a friend. 🙂

    It still say.fender but it sound like my little chiwawa. My hombre say I need fender tube amp. My question is would you too get tube amp or something like a solid state tarantula?

    You don't "need" tubes. Very few amps today are tubes.
