Description

Designed to be paired with the EVH 5150 Iconic 80-watt head, the 5150 Iconic 4x12 straight-front speaker enclosure is the ultimate in power and performance.

The cabinet is constructed out of MDF with special internal plywood baffling for tight and increased bass response, and houses four custom designed EVH 12" Celestion speakers voiced specifically for this preamp circuit, so that the pristine cleans and searing high-gain tones are tight, clear and articulate.

Sporting distinctive EVH style, the 5150 Iconic 4x12 cabinet comes in either a thick textured black or ivory vinyl covering with black grille cloth and silver and black 5150 and EVH logo badges. The cab also has a parallel speaker input jack, two recessed side-mounted steel bars and removable EVH pop-out casters. A high-quality fitted cover is available as an EVH accessory.

    For its size, it's able to be carried by one person. The sound is loud and crisp. It's beautiful. Sounds beautiful. It's worth the name on it and worth buying for both practice and stage.

    This cab looks killer, and is great value for the money. 160 watts for an 80 watt amp is the standard since amp watts are generally RMS clean channel measurements. You want a higher rated cabinet than the amp. Casters came in the box as expected. I did replace the speakers with Celestion GB and V30s as those are my favorite, but the stock speakers did sound good for their price. They are a bit scooped, so lacking some midrange that higher end speakers have. For versatility and output they sounded fine at volume levels I tested them out on. For this price, there is nothing to knock a star off for.
