Open Box Celestion G12T-75 75W, 12" Guitar Speaker Level 1 16 Ohm

I previously bought a Celestion vintage 30 and used the Celestion G12T-75 75W in an avatar cabinet to use with a Marshall JCM 2000, 50 watt head and it sounds AMAZING!!!

Bought this to pair with a Celestion Vin 30 in a 2x12 cabinet. Really opened up my sound.

This speaker did everything I hoped, completely transformed my 1x12 combo. Cleaned up the highs and mids and added chunk to the bass. Most importantly, it gave me projection. My sound was not lost in a blur 10 ft. from the amp anymore. Only con has nothing to do with the G12T. The old speaker had 6 mounting bolts, while Celestion uses only 4. It took me about an hour to take out the 4 I couldn't use and reinstall 2 in the right position.

I bought this to replace my stock Peavey Sheffield in my 6505+ 112 combo and I'm very happy with the results. The amp now has the added character. The dirty cleans, mean crunch and the searing lead tones of the Peavey 6505+ are all way better through this speaker! Everything with gain sounds way more \m\ METAL /m/ than the stock speaker ever did to me. I play with a lot of gain so that's what i was after in choosing this upgrade. I never thought it would make such a difference, but i really hear the difference in quality of sound reproduction. "Getcha Pull" on this one for sure!

Just like everyone else I as well own the Marshall 1960 cab. Comes with 4x of these babies. Honestly I think they sound great, in comparison to my Eminence "the governor" and "man o war" I have also extensively played through the old school Marshall Gold Black (back?) 100 speakers. tried some elctro harmonix as well so I have owned some speakers to compare the sound to. These cleestions have a real bright mid range, and a tight, boomy botton end. Honestly I have not heard a style sound bad through them. I would say they are probably best for rock. I have not heard of many people buying this for a combo amp or in another application but you definitely could. I see nothing wrong with these things, they sing man they really do. Are they worth 109 bucks? Well if you GOT to have celestion than yes. There are some really good eminence speakers out there that are very comparable in quality for a bit less, but still... these things sound fantastic. 97 dB is high enough. Try them!

I have a Marshall 1960 Lead cab loaded with these, with an Ibanez TB100H hooked to it. Now while it does have a really nice tone, it has a bit of crackle to it, and isn't necessarily made for playing loud. I have my TB100H with my gain at 3 o'clock and volume at 11 o'clock, and even at that volume, they start to crackle. Even though they have those issues, they are the only issues I have noticed. The tight low-end that it has is just amazing, and as a thrash metal, death metal, metalcore (etc.) guitarist, low-end is a necessity, and these speakers do it!
