Open Box Casio Privia PX-770 Digital Piano Level 1 Black

I've had this for several years and enjoyed it a great deal. The only reservation I have is that the key action is a bit light and a bit noisy but it's still worth the price.

As a lesson studio teacher/owner operator, this is the keyboard I recommend most to my students that are beyond the preliminary beginner stages. This is a perfect home piano for the advancing students that should be the staple for every piano student of all ages. Great sound, sleek design, retractable cover (very convenient), and pedals. I have purchased this several times for my studio students.

I took up piano earlier this years as a "Covid project." Starting with an old Casiotone with mini-keys, I quickly outgrew it and needed something that would last years. I am delighted with the Privia. While I can't speak to the response of its keys, not knowing what an acoustic piano plays like, the sound is wonderful...full, dynamic, realistic. The additional instruments are great fun, particularly the concert organ and harpsichord. Such an instrument really helps with motivation to practice, and I haven't missed a day since I set it up.

I have been playing piano for over 10 years. I only had lessons for 2 years, and have been self taught since. After working at guitar center for a year, and having the opportunity to play on 30+ different keyboards, I can assure you that no keyboard feels more like a genuine piano than the casio privia. The keys are dynamically weighted, so that the lower keys are harder to press. The keys also have a matte finish, and the weighting of the keys makes it feel as though you are not playing on plastic keys at all. The speakers do suffer a slight distortion at the highest volume, which is disappointing, as the PX-160 I played in guitar center stores did not seem to have that problem. However, the 770 is fantastic because the stand is really nice, and you get the added benefit of the 3 pedals. The sustain works very well. There are only 19 built in sounds, which is sadly pretty limiting compared to other keyboards. However, the playability is so realistic that I do not consider it to decrease how good of a value this keyboard is. This is my third keyboard, and is by far my favorite so far. I have no intentions to upgrade until I can actually afford an acoustic baby grand piano someday.

I was so impressed with the service we received. I wasn't impressed with the on duty manager who was rude, didn't make eye contact and had acted like we weren't even there as he corrected something on the computer, however the floor staff is ALWAYS a joy there. We've gotten my son his guitar here and now a our girls the digital piano we've e been waiting for. It was a bigger purchase for us so we waited. Everything besides the grumpy manager was great. Our helper said the manager was in a good mood and we should be happy to have gotten his good side. Definitely wouldn't want to be an employee, make a mistake and have to answer to that one. The store in general is amazing. Always has been.
