    Great product. Holds my strike pad in place. Out of the package it did not clamp to my 1.5 inch Alesis drum rack. So I went to the hardware store and bought a 3 inch (or maybe 3.5 inch) carriage bolt which then allowed me to secure the clamp to my 1.5 inch Alesis drum rack. It works!

    This mount looks great and works great with one exception. I wanted to clamp it to my Alesis DM10 rack. That would be a very common use. Unfortunately, the attachment clamp doesn't adjust large enough to fit the 1 1/2 inch tubes on an Alesis rack. Really? I pulled out a mic stand and clamped it to that to get it to work. However, it's not as functional and clean as clamping it to my rack. I don't understand how that could get by as the final design.

    If you have the Alesis Strike Multi-Pad dont waste time rigging up some other method to mount it. I did that and wasted a lot of time and energy before I just broke down and got this specifically designed mount. Keep in mind that the mount plate has to be compensated for when the unit is in a bag or case but I also have the specifically designed SKB case that take care of the issue. This mount is very easy to use and provides quick adjust ability.

    I would recommend this to drummers adding this to your acoustic set. It is very adjustable to get it in any spot on your set.

    Where are the screws? I just got my Strike pad (which came shipped in bubble wrap; no display box), and neither the pad nor the clamp (which I'd already picked up) had any way to connect the two!

    How does the pad come off the stand for transport? Does the flat piece need to be unscrewed from the bottom of the pad? Or does the ball come out of the ball/socket assembly? Or some third option? I like the look of this, but if it's a hassle to break down and set up I might stick with a traditional stand and pad mount

    The flat piece can be unscrewed / removed from the bottom. It can be broken down very easily.
