I Got Blisters On Me Fingers!

...Which is exactly why I decided to give drummers gloves a try. I have been drumming since I was 14, and in all ofthat time I never found the need for gloves...until now. Mostly it's because I now am in a band where we play multiple shows and many back-to-back. From the sheer amount of playing, my fingers are taking a beating. So I thought I'd try gloves. These AHEAD Drummers Gloves were the answer I was looking for. Full protection from nightly blisters, a nice tight, almost "second skin"-like fit, and a grip that gives me confidence when I play. I have what I would call small to average hands. I purchased the large size, which, although quite tight, actually give me the feel I both wanted and need when playing. These AHEAD gloves look and feel great and are a fine addition to my drumming performances. As a drummer, if you are new to gloves or just looking to replace your current pair, I highly recommend these AHEAD Drummers Gloves.

No bueno

These gloves very cumbersome, probably better for throwing snowballs, but no good for playin drums. Unless you like having extra fat hands to play with.

These turned my hands black and I still got blisters. Essentially a worthless purchase.

Love these gloves. I do a lot of work and wash my hands several times a day, so they're very very dry and it affects the dexterity on the fingers. These gloves fixed it. I top it off with some kuiksort (a moistener used by bank tellers that make their fingertips kind of sticky but dry for counting bills. I rub the fulcrums and fingers, sometimes all that is leather (it's a plus for its longevity) and now no more dropping and slipping sticks and almost no adjusting. I get them at office supply stores or online.

  • Nice, sturdy and comfortable.

So far, so good. I do not play for hours on end as some others might. But these work just fine for what I need.

Do they run small or run big? I've had gloves that a medium was too large but another medium from a different brand was to small. How do i know which to order? It's a pain having to send things back and wait for the replacements.
