I use this mic for DJ systems, talk back and announcements mostly. It was very easy to set up and sync channels. Sounds great with good feedback rejection. I would not hesitate to use it for Karaoke if we provided that.

We have these in our church sanctuary along with some Shure SM58 systems and this is the better sounding system. Hands down clearer and cleaner than the Shure. Shure is a great mic but the AKG has the edge. I don't need elaborate testing equipment to determine the better mic. I just use my hearing ability and listen to the difference. My favorite after 50 years experience performing and mixing sound.

It just does what AKG usually does, perform perfectly. Very well made and smooth reproduction that I always get with AKG. It is weighted good as I hate a feather weight mic. For the price, as good as you will get. Good range with no dropouts. Simple setup with straight forward hookup. Love the on/off switch which includes mute function. A slight hint of breath blast might call for a wind screen but very usable without one. Love it. I wouldn't be ashamed to use this mic anywhere. It will hold it's own.

Bought this mic because I was in a pinch and needed a replacement for a wedding. The unit is extremely simple to operate. However, there are some glaring issues which will make me NEVER hand this to someone unfamiliar with this particular mic. The advertised range is 100' but it was susceptible to weird digital distortion which we only discovered while a bridal party was giving toasts (about 60 feet from the receiver). The unit suffers from really disruptive noise from handling the mic body (due to hollow plastic battery compartment), incurable with high pass filter. When users pressed the button to unmute the mic, there was an extremely disruptive sound almost like a machine gun which lasted nearly a whole second. Absolutely mortifying and I will NEVER use another piece of gear again before testing it HEAVILY beforehand.
