Line 6 Spider Valve 112 40W Guitar Combo Amp

This combo is "It". I've owned many different amps over my 20 years of playing. This amp can cover so many different styles it's not funny. I can't imagine anyone getting bored with this product. You never really run out of new sonic options. Compared to any "modelling amp" I've ever heard prior, this amp has a much more alive and organic feel. The Presence control can remove any hint of boxiness. Most presets have a bit too much bass for my ear. To really hit my target tones I've turned down the bass on most presets to around 9am, and upped the presence to at least the noon position. It's funny that reviews on other sites will state that this is not a tube amp from a purist perspective. While this may be true, we know many of the classic tones through history featured non-tube components prior to hitting the amp. Something amazing happens once the signal hits the power tubes on this amp. The more volume you play with, the more tonal payback with this amp. I'd definitely recommend this amp to anybody.

This amp has tons of versatility and pure tube tone!!! I prefer this amp over most of the top brands out there that cost 3 times this much. The built in overdrive, tuner, and noise suppressor are life savers!!! It takes a while to tweak the sounds you want, but i assure you, you'll find exactly what you're looking for. Also CRANK IT UP!!!! it does get insanely loud!!!! My favorite setting is Metal Blue- everything at noon and noise suppreessor activated. Amazing crunchy hotrodded Marshall tone!!!!! GET IT

I have had this amp for over a year, no problems with it yet. I love the sound, amazing distortion and reverb. Not really digital sounding like most other Line 6's I played. If you dont have a grand or two for a Marshall or Mesa Boogie, this is a steal deal. I play alot of Wintersun and Ensiferum and this does the job. No matter what style you play it can do it all. The preset effects are rather lame with exception of a handful.

After playing around with some Line 6's, I loved the versatility and "fun factor" but found the tones less than satisfying. I was in the market for a tube combo amp with good tone, useable effects, and amp modeling that was atually pleasing to the ear for a decent price. After being continually let down, I finally found the Spider Valve and instantly fell in love. I've had mine for about 4 months now and still blown away with the versatility and quality of tone. I love playing metal and blues, but also play in church and need smooth, creamy tones and this amp fully delivers on all fronts. Just with my Schecter C1 Elite with SD Blackout active pickups, I can achieve pretty much any sound I need. Highly, highly recommended, especially for the price.

I bought this amp a year ago and it has done nothing but impress me. The effects are sick and the soft tube sound really blends perfectly with the effects. If you buy a fender or marshall combo you will be very limited but this amp really has unlimited potential. If you buy this amp you will thank me later.

I just got a spider 3 120w amp for christmas. when it was in my room it sounded great and loud. It had all the cool effects build in. It was a perfect ((practice amp)) not much more. When I went to my friends house to play it with a drum, you start to hear things you didn't hear in your room, And it was not quite loud as it seamed to be in my room. the other friend that was there had the 150w spider 3 half stack. It blew me away. So I thought I would try this one. This amp will make your hair stand up, when you paly a power cord. The louder it get the better it sounds. it worth the extra money. if you want a amp with a amp with a balls get.
